A poem for Daenerys
Silver-haired, with eyes of amethyst
A Targaryen princess, her lips never kissed
Was wed off into violence and grief
She learned to love quickly but her time to love was brief
Her princely brother fell to the horselord's crown
Tough leather replaced her silky gown
Then despair and death took her dreams of a son
Suddenly life, love and her army were gone
But death pays for life, in this case threefold
And with fire and blood the princess grew bold
The dragons her children, the Khal's people as hers
The fate of the world took a turn for the worse
With the Dothraki like family and Qarth's hoard of gold
Nobody knows what the future might hold
